Cape Prompthep, Phuket
Prompthep Cape
Promthep, located at the southern tip of Phuket Island, offers a quite exceptional panorama.
In the evening, around 5pm, tourists from all over the world come by bus to enjoy the sunset.
In any case, this point of view is one of the most beautiful in Phuket with a view (so clear) on Koh Raja on one side, on Koh Phi Phi Phi on the other, on the bay of Nai Harn and its Yacht Club.
Finally, the Kanchanabhisek lighthouse, at the top of which you will find a panoramic terrace with a 360° view.
A few steps away, Promthep's restaurant and its flower gardens, a very pleasant place to admire this magnificent panorama while enjoying a local dish or simply a good beer.
The Kanchanabhisek Lighthouse was built there in 1996 to commemorate the 50th anniversary.
the accession to the throne of His Majesty HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej (King Rama IX)
Every day, Cape Promthep is overrun by tourists. During the day the crowds start quietly, but it is especially in the late afternoon, around 5pm until sunset around 6.30pm that visitors are most numerous.
It must be said that this place offers an excellent panorama, one of the most beautiful on the island of Phuket.
The first small beach you can see in this picture is Yanui Beach....
a little further away, the very beautiful beach of Naiharn, one of the most beautiful in Phuket.
The Promthep restaurant, which has a very nice crowd at the end of the afternoon and offers
a superb panoramic view of the bay of Naiharn and its surroundings, with the bonus of... the sunset.
This is the famous Promthep cape... the end of the end of Phuket!

When you reach the end of Promthep Cape, you have the complete impression of being elsewhere,
that we left Phuket Island because the change is so fast.
On this immense rock that flows into the ocean, one feels the strong sensation of being on the bow of a large ship, insensitive to waves... or of imagining oneself at the end of the world with nothing more beyond. On this rock, I will soon return there without a camera, without a camera, just to sit back and contemplate this very special panorama, like this, with a splendid sunset: impressive, beautiful, powerful, wild, indomitable place.
For those who might be tempted to go to the end of the cape, the sandy path is quite easy to follow. There is a small area where we have to be careful, but on the whole, it is relatively feasible for everyone. However, I advise you to wear the right shoes (flip-flops are not great).
Time from the road to the end of the cape... about 15 minutes, but it's worth it!
15 short minutes to discover this!
Wild, violent, dangerous, taking...
